Avoid PPE-related accidents and injuries
Gauge safety behavior on your vessel and across your fleet
FleetVision offers you the capability to assess and evaluate the PPE compliance performance of your vessel team in four distinct implementation phases outlined below:
Phase 1: Assess PPE compliance performance
1. Log in to FleetVision and use the PPE Vessel Report and/or PPE Fleet Report to assess the safety performance of your team.
2. Please utilize the selectors in the report to analyze the data. Take into consideration the following initial questions:
- What is the cumulative PPE score (deck and engine areas) for the entire year?
- What were the individual scores for the deck area and the engine room area?
- What factors might have contributed to these scores?
3. After assessing the safety performance, the next crucial step is to establish a goal based on initial impressions. For instance, the goal could be to eliminate attentions in a specific area or enhance the PPE score by a certain percentage.
Phase 2: Learn safety behaviors
1. Once a goal is established, the objective of this step is to use FleetVision's video snippets to gain a deeper understanding of how people work to identify trends, pinpoint areas of improvement, and highlight best practices. You can
view activities on the dashboard and leverage the
dashboard timelines and
activity filters to drill down to specific activities.
💡Product tip
If you want to refer to PPE compliance activities, use the Activity Filter "Missing Helmet" and save time with the
save and load filters option.
2. Furthermore, if you desire a digital record of events and the capability to quickly navigate through activities, you can access the
Activity page to view activities.
Phase 3: Collaborate to prevent safety incidents
1. When reviewing these activities and gaining valuable insights, there are several options available for sharing and implementing next steps. One option is to utilize
tags to reference the activity for future use, aiding in conducting training sessions or discussing it during an onsite meeting. It's important to note that tags are currently only visible to the user.
2. If you want someone else to see this activity that also has access to the platform, copy the
link to activity and share it in an email or in your ERP/SMS systems.
3. Additionally, the
comments feature allows FleetVision users to effectively communicate on the platform regarding the specific activity. This feature proves beneficial for facilitating communication among both vessel and shoreside teams.
Phase 4: Review goal and measure impact
1. The final step is to review the goal and measure the impact of your collaboration step. Return to the PPE Vessel Report and/or PPE Fleet Report to compare the data observed during step one. Has the safety score improved, not improved, or remained unchanged?
