View live streams of shipboard operations

Sensors view

Sensors page
1. The Sensors page showcases all the cameras that have been set up for your vessel at the current time. By clicking on a sensor entry, you can access the details pane on the right side of the screen. This pane provides you with the most up-to-date AIS and weather information, offering valuable context. The preview image is refreshed, depending on the availability of a connection to the ship.

2. The status of each sensor is specified. Currently the options are:
  • Active – live view is already on. Connection should be instant.
  • Available – live view can be accessed.
  • Lost Connections – connection with the vessel is lost, hence all its sensors are not accessible.
  • Unavailable – This sensor is currently not functional.

💡Product tip
The status is sampled and refreshed every few minutes, so the actual ability to connect to the sensor may not match the status exactly (e.g. if connection to the vessel was lost a few seconds ago).

3. If a sensor is labeled as "Available," clicking on the "Enter Live View" button will initiate an attempt to establish a connection with the vessel. Please note that the connection process may take approximately 1-2 minutes, depending on the quality of the internet connection available for the vessel.

4. To optimize bandwidth consumption, each user is limited to connecting a maximum of 3 different sensors from a specific vessel in parallel.

✅Implementation tip
If a Live view is already established for one user, it will be readily available to any other user who is associated with this vessel. There is no practical limit to the number of concurrent connections to live videos from different vessels.
