Reduce bridge watchkeeping risks
FleetVision enables teams to asses, learn, and measure bridge watchkeeping behavior.
Follow the four implementation phases and subsequent article/video below to learn how.
Phase 1: Assess bridge watch performance
1.
Log in to FleetVision and use the
Bridge Watch Vessel Report and/or
Bridge Watch Fleet Report to assess the team's performance.
2. Based on the data, which specific activity is having the greatest impact on the bridge team? Is there a particular navigational phase during the voyage that is causing this impact? Utilize the timelines and performance trends provided in the report to identify the focus area. Additionally, consider any company-led campaigns or initiatives.
3.
Establishing a goal is a crucial step in this process. For instance, a goal could be to eliminate yellow attentions to zero or sustain bridge watch performance above the industry benchmark level.
Phase 2: Learn bridge watchkeeping practices
1. Once a goal is established, the objective of this step is to use FleetVision's video snippets to learn more about how people work to identify trends, areas of improvement, and best practices. You can view
activities on the dashboard and leverage the
dashboard timelines and
activity filters to drill down to specific activities.

2. Furthermore, if you require a digital record of the events, you can access the activities on the Activity page.
Phase 3: Collaborate amongst the vessel and shore based teams
1. As you review these activities and gain valuable insights, there are several methods available to share and implement future actions. One method is utilizing
tags to reference the activity in the future, which can greatly assist in conducting training sessions with the vessel team. Please note that tags are currently private to the user.
2. If you need to share this activity with someone else who also has access to the platform, copy the
link to activity and share it in an email or in your ERP/SMS systems.
3. In addition, FleetVision provides a
comments feature that enables users to effectively communicate on the platform regarding specific activities. This feature proves to be highly valuable for facilitating communication among both vessel and shoreside teams.
Phase 4: Review goal and measure impact
1. The final step is to evaluate the goal and assess the impact of your team's efforts. Refer back to the Bridge Watch Vessel Report or Bridge Watch Fleet Report to compare the data gathered during the initial assessment. Has the performance of your team improved, not improved, or remained unchanged?
